Diet and Anxiety: How Fiber and Fruit can Ease Suffering

Many doctors insist on pumping our bodies full of medications and they never entertain the fact that making simple changes in our daily diet and food intake can have a great impact on easing our anxiety and leading us to feel calmer and more relaxed.  There are many changes you can make to your diet to combat the adverse effects of anxiety and panic disorders. Let’s start off with these important tips and tricks to help change your mentality and ease pain.

1) Always start your day with a protein-infused breakfast.  If you eat a lot of protein, you will feel more full and satisfied and have more energy for the rest of the day.

2) Avoid simple carbohydrates – Eating complex carbs produces more serotonin in your brain and when you have more of this, a calming release allows you to feel less anxious and stressed. Try to eat foods that have many complex carbs and grains. You can eat cereals packed with oats, and wholegrain breads.  Avoid foods that are composed of white flour like cereals without fiber and sugary drinks.

3) Invest in a high-quality supplement or vitamin to meet your needs – Many people are not getting in enough Omega 3 fats so they like to take a fish oil supplement or capsules each day. Once you start implementing these small changes in your diet, you should notice a significant increase in your mood or at least more of a regulation in your mood swings.  i used to have very vast mood swings.
